Title: Connects2 help
Post by: big.el on April 21, 2012, 02:19:36 pm
Hi

Just bought this off ebay and jusylt want to know about the wiring

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.carcommunications.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fproducts%2FCTASKIPOD003.2.jpg&hash=8186863fa9f502ce1c5e5a236e672cbc998a676a)

I know the white block will go into my RCD300 but there is a black cable with wire showing and two out of 3 red terminals are connected to each other but one is just on its own. Is it just literally plug n play ?

Thanks

One wire is an earth (part stripped wire).

The other two connect up, I used trial and error over which of the two to use. One will sound fine, the other will bring the background of a song louder than the singing (if you get what i mean)

Good luck  :happy2:

I earthed mine to a screw and washer at the back of the stereo opening. I dropped the iPod connector down the back and into the ash tray cubby hole.

Good luck

They are the same as the VW OEM IPod kit (but half the price). Cost about £60ish
