Has anyone used or know anyone with one.
Found a used one though if I have to replace with a new one 12 months down the line then I'll wait for a BCS/Blueflame
Thanks

There is a guy on this forum who has one, cant remember hsi name, but remember thinking it was priced like Milltek/APR and looked decent quality.

Hopefully he sees this and pops on :)

With a sports cell cat, the CEL light is likely to appear with my remap. Does anything else happen that would effect the car? Does the removal of the light in Stage 2 purely remove the light coming on?
Obviously it's a MOT failure though mine has just had it's test so wouldn't need to go to stage 2 purely for the light being disabled.
Thanks

Some TBE exhausts dont throw a CEL on stage 1, only on stage 2 which is where they get mapped out anyway
-
No TBE should throw a CEL light unless it has a decat....

Was not sure for other makes, can only speak for BCS TBE

I dont think this is correct. Lots of cars on here have thrown a cel after fitting a TBE including my own, with no de-cat. A stage 2 map cancels out the second lambda sensor i believe. :happy2:

Not sure if it cancels it, I thin I read on one of PDT's posts that it amends the settings a little so it does not throw the light.

Though if you ran the car with the CEL light on does it cause any problems i.e. limp mode (or is that just DSG's)?

No it runs perfectly well with the cel on for this reason. :happy2:

The determining factor regarding the light is usually the size of the cat and the quality of the wash coat.
We offer a 125mm (5.0") DP to eliminate the problem.

Well that's that then, the bloke removed the listing. Back on the hunt for a second hand downpipe.
