I am in the process of looking for a private plate!
which one do you think is better out of the two
My name is nathan gallo which would help to know lol :signLOL:
N99TH G
OR
N19TH G
-
First 1.
Or M20 YSB if your a Man United fan...sure you can decode it. I will give you a clue. The last 3 letters refer to liverpool.
PS only £255
-
.
I would hope that you know that strictly speaking both plates are illegal because of the spacing. But if I had to choose I think that 'N99TH G' is the closest representation. The other strongly reads '19th'.
I recently drove in convo with a very hot looking brunette driving a fast white Peugeot RCZ - 'S25 NAT' - Clearly she was called Nathalie or Natasha and she did look about 25yo. NAT = NATHAN?
-
Both of them use illegal spacing so you might get tug.
Probably the N99TH G is the better one.
I just searched and a better option would be N4TH G, bit pricey for £1.5k
I searched for Nathan before and it was either N47HAN or NAT114N and it was £25k, so thought I' leave it and get the one i've got for only £145 :signLOL:

Her birthday could have been Sept 25, thats what the first part of my plate is and the 2nd part is my initials, so its a private plate to me and anyone who knows about cars but not to your average joe.

Neither off them, as they are illegally spaced, which always cheapen a plate in my humble opinion. Just my tuppence as always......

....The truth is that I am of the same opinion. All very well for me to say as I wasn't looking for a plate but came across mine 'VW05 RED' and all nice and absolutely legal. I know there are hundreds of drivers going around with illegally spaced plates and it's rare to get pulled just for that. But if you got pulled for something else, then it's likely it wouldn't go in your favour.
ANPR is very much on the increase and it's only a matter of time before illegal plates get thrown into the mix. I guess that the MOT test isn't on the case.............. Yet!!
-
Those will both fail the MOT, if the testing is going by the book.
Registration plates
Condition, security, colour, characters correctly formed and spaced.
-
What about N444 GLO?
There are a few others like...
N66 GLO,
N77 GLO.
All at £255.
I'd try and get as few digits as poss. Anything with NG in. :happy2:
As for the plates you picked, they are great! I'd get the 2nd one
-
i prefer G4 ALO

-
I want H3 DGE but it's spoken for. :sad1:

I lived in Wibsey, Bradford for a few years and the number plate I had always wanted for years appeared on a fiat punto.
My name is Carlo and this guy had C4RLO and then I found out he also had G4RLO which also looked the same as he had been naughty with the plate fixings.
I couldn't believe that probably the 2 best plates for my name were owned by a guy that lived close by, with the same (not very common) name as me.... and he had em on 2 bangers (sort of)
Oh well, my plate now starts with S3. I bought the plate and almost did a deal on a 1yr old S3, and then had a change of heart.....basically thanks to Nath at the Nurburgring. I really couldn't believe how capable the mk5 golf was on the track. :notworthy:
It really opened my eyes and I fell back in love with my Ed30.
Still love it now.
Thanks Nath :happy2:
.....I'll stop writing now :ashamed:
-
I once looked up S4 NDY. £54k it was going for. So I'm still saving my pennies.
-
Not sure what I did, but no probs Carlo!  :happy2:

Last off topic post from me now...sorry to the OP but I'd better explain.
Basically when I went round on my first lap  of the Nurburgring  in your motor  with you driving at some serious speed
.....I was just beeming from ear to ear.
It was an amazing experience. Not only to have gone round the Ring, which had been a long time ambition, but to be driven round by a great driver in a great car and at the same time realising just how awesome the Ed30's are.
It shocked me really.
I was ready to trade my car in when we got back home, but with the lap you did followed by the 4 laps I then did, I felt like keeping the Ed30 forever!
Yeah the Revo, TBE exhaust, intakes etc are all amazing... But at that time I was just lowered on H&R's and I had the S3 brakes. A change of tyres to some track rubber would have been nice, but I was still so so impressed.
Now, I'd better shut up. :ashamed:
-
Ahh shucks! :ashamed:
I remember it well fella! :driver:
-
I had a look previously and the perfect plate for me would be K4LPS but thats taken.
So are K44LPS & K444LPS :sad1:
OP I prefer the first one you listed :happy2:
-
I was lucky with mine.

I got my wife a private plate when we got her first and only new car back in 1998 :ashamed:
It was a case of choosing the last 3 letters to match her name for £250 At the time she wouldn't let me buy T0 TTY ...................how much would that be worth now :fighting:
I can't stand it when people space out the letters trying to look cool, its quite the opposite and when they start putting extra screws or blanks in to change the letters they may as well have a plate that reads KN0B
