Was thinking if I upgraded my current tyres from 225/40/18 to 235/40/18 would I get better grip??Anyone tried it?

yeah id imagine so - wider tyres, more contact with the road = better grip

Will be a 4% increase in the width, question is is it worth it??  Do you really need the extract contact patch?

I doubt it will be noticable on common road driving, unless your drvong like a nitter and pushin the tyres to their limit?
