The last time I was on here properly was about 6 months ago when i had my Leon Cupra. I sold that, got a house, got another peugeot as im a big peugeot fan, got bored of how sh*t that was and went on the look out for another VAG car.
Criteria was, hatch back, DSG, quick and affordable. This meant the S3 was out the window along with getting another Cupra or any other newish car. I started looking at Golf Gti's, but the spec level varied sooo much it was hard to keep track. I then looked at the Ed30. Decided if i got one i would end up throwing loads of money at it very quickly.
I finally settled on one of these:
Its a 2007 (57) R32 3dr DSG in DBP with 34k miles on the clock. It has pretty much every extra apart from satnav and parking sensors so im a very happy boy !! The car is in pretty much mint condition apart from a slight ding on the front wing and a couple of marks on top of the rear bumper next to the boot. They will be pretty easy fixes though !!
Heres a couple of quick phone pics:

Ill get some better ones when the weather improves!!
Quick question. How hard would it be to retrofit the RNS510 satnav and bluetooth so it works with my iphone through the steering wheel and with the MFD ??
Heres my previous car:

the sound of them exhausts will make up for it :happy2:
-
Gorgeous car , and in the best colour - nice wheels too!!
-
Yeah I'm loving the exhaust noise! Was the main reason for getting one! :D
The wheels are nice! These were another thing the car had to have as I don't like the other wheels they came with!
Every time I drive it it puts a smile on my face! Even though I've not really pushed it yet! Love it! :D

It's on the wish list! Just need to convince the missus I NEED it!

how do tommy,
so how does it compare to the cupra? surely you preferred some things in the cupra but this has the edge in traction/soundtrack?

They seem to be completely different cars! The cupra was very quick and handled great! The golf being dsg is so much easier and comfier to drive! Not really pushed it speed wise or handling wise but quick starts in the wet are great! No wheel spin! :D
I'd also say the golf is built better! Everything feels just that little bit more expensive if you know what I mean! Don't get me wrong I miss my cupra, but the golf has so much more to offer! If only they did a dsg 4 wheel drive cupra!
