Title: Engine cover bolt

I have lost the bolt that holds on the front left hand side engine cover mount bracket. I went to VW and they said it was 8mm, i have tried different lengths and cant get enough room to get the bolt started. Does anyone know if it is deff 8mm, need this fixed as dont want to buy another HPFP  :confused:

Also having the same issue, the bolt has rattled out but before it had I couldn't get anything in it to tighten it up! Anyone know the size/technique?
