Its crazy is the kit expensive out of curiosity?

I think you'll agree this is MUCH crazier than any PlastiDip you can get your hands on.............some French & Norwegian guys I know playing with some large cliffs :happy2:
-
can be bought in aerosol cans like spray paint , the guy in the video is just using liquid form of the product and a diy sprayer which you get from b and q etc
google `plastidip`

So it's basically spray on vinyl wrap?

yeah kind of spray insulation tape/vinyl wrap. the vidoes on youtube make it look easy so ill see how i go in a week or 2 when i try

I used this loads of times on my old grill, very very very impressed.
£15 a can though.

WOW was looking pretty $hit at the start after a couple of coats all patchy and uneven but once finished it looked as good as a wrap :congrats:
How much would it cost to do then to a mk5 golf? gotta be way cheaper than getting a professional wrap done surely

Not sure how much it is in liquid form, but the cans are £15 a pop and I managed to get around 4 grills from a MK4 golf with each doing 3 coats.
-
not sure on a full car but the general rule is 1 aerosol can per wheel, so i guess you could say 2/3 cans per panel as a very rough guide

That's exactly what i want for my rear boot handle....just in satin black.

How durable is it compared to wrap though?

Looking at the way it peels off the lights etc I would say not very.......

Using the Plastidip primer first on a non porous surface makes quite a difference to its durability, a mate of mine has blacked out his Harley using this stuff and it's survived very well including regular jet washing!
