Title: New canbus benefits?

I purchased a new canbus when fitting my rns, turns out I didn't need it as mine does not suffer from the battery drain issue.

Apart from the drain issue are there any other benefits to fitting such as firmware updates etc as I'm debating wheter or not I should install.

If you don't need then you can sell it
or if you intend to fit a Polar FIS it might benefit from changing it

The unit is an H unit with 3970
