Title: Why, oh why, does my TDi not fly!!!

every day, i start her up and she either wants to sprint to the moon and back or she doesn't wanna play ball....

doesn't matter if i start her up cold or hot, left for 24 hours and started her up she wants to go places.... left for same amount of time and she says no.

its like the turbo doesn't like working sometimes, anyone else have this?

its like its a different car every day  :confused:

just wanted to share that  :grin:

well im deffo gettin a petrol next lol, i hate havin to wait for the engine to get warm before i even think about revvin it too...

Not clued up on this but is there a system on the Tdi that needs for journeys to be longer for the system to 're generate'? Deisel particulate filter (DPF)?

Or maybe the EGR getting coked up? A mate had intermittent issues on an a4 tdi with a coked EGR

i fully de clogged EGR last weekend mate... wasnt that bad.

140 pd tdi's dont have dpf

is it been mapped--i do a lot of short journeys to work and mine feels like that until i take it down the motor way,

no no map as of yet, bog standard... maybe it just needs a good motorway thrashing? been doin a lot of short trips lately.

It's a soot chucker  :signLOL: sorry had to say it.....

Have some fault finding ran on it, maybe something like wastgate sticking?

is that using VAG-COM?

dont think anyone is near me to do that.

and yeah its a soot chucker!! but its my! soot chucker! :fighting:

Try running a tank of Vpower diesel through it, and throw in a bottle of your brand of choice of diesel system cleaner.

I done this in my last diesel and it boosted MPG by about 5 on average!
