Title: Rns 510 updated firmware

I have been looking at rns510's on eBay and one seller states that with the latest firmware that the older can bus cars won't suffer the battery drain.

Is that correct?
My car was registered on 1/1/2006 so will probably have the older can bus.

yes you will have the old can bus. AFAIK the latest firmware (fw 4020) will drain the battery. I had Modified 2760 fw on mine before i did the canbus upgrade and all worked fine. PM him and ask exactly which fw is on it
