Title: tyres
Post by: meady on May 04, 2012, 08:31:16 pm
my car is going to need some new tyres soon but as i am moving house in the next 4 weeks money is tight. Unfortunatly this means i cant splash out on tyres but i still dont want to put some s**t rubber on the car.

What do you all make of avon tyres as they are well priced and i have had them in the past and they seemed good but on a less powerful car.

If anyonme has any feedback or recomendations would be great, cheers

I dnt really have a budget as such. Ive been looking on blackcircles and they seem to be averaging £100 a corner fitted so anything around tht kind of price realy. Cheers

I appreciate your on a budget but Camskills have Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 for £117 a corner, and there is always the old adage of buy cheap buy twice.  :happy2:

yeh they seem like a good price. Mine are 17's though so might be a bit cheaper than that :) might have a look at the bridgestone potenza reo5oa's as i had them on me old astra vxr and they seemed good on that

Had the re050as on my scirocco and thought they were dire and wore very quickly (got 12k from the fronts).

The uniroyal rainsport 2's are a good budget choice and live up to their name in the wet!

If your rolling on 17"s then Camskills have lots of top end tyres for under £100 a corner  :happy2:

The ZZ3's are an awful tyre, very skittish and no grip on the road. The ZV5 are far better, I fitted them to my wife's old GT Sport, and it always felt very secure whatever the weather  :happy2:
