Has anyone got any first hand experience of them? Wondered whether to warn her off them or not. Think it's quite a good looking little car.
-
It's a Fiat, wouldn't touch 1 with a barge pole!!!,
-
I also want one, they are super cool.

its a vauxhall engine, had one in for service last summer, fun to drive, got a USB/windows port, which is handy, total nightmare to get at the oil filter tho :fighting:
-
I think they're pretty cool so havnt warned her off yet :P
-
I like em
-
thier a good little car
-
Awesome little cars. Ignore the badge stereotypes, I bet they score higher than VAG these days in reliability surveys.
-
I think they do a special ss kit, don't know how much more powerful it is but is it worth going for? Think it's about 2k. Thanks for the replies :happy2:
-
Great little cars, dealers are still sh*te!!

My wife is in  with them. Only problem is, she doesn't drive and I certainly ain't getting one! Have never been in one so I shouldn't pass judgement but REALLY!!!

I think they're a lot less 'girly' than a normal 500. Also they're quite rare, well I don't see many! Just wanted to know they're mechanically sound :happy2:
-
Fair point, lot less girly than the basic model. My neighbour has the basic one and looks s**t, very, very plastic looking and the interior
Saw a few of the ABARTH's in Rome recently, I know everyone in Italy drives like they own a F1 Ferrari but on the roads outside the city, they was quick!!
:happy2:

They do a Ferrari version which looks interesting! Think it's 40k or something
-
GF's had two non abarths now. one 1.2 one 1.4. Decent enough, perfect city car, but the wipers jump up and down at over 80mph
Kinda embarrassing to get driven about in one though lol

like crap in a farmer's field down here in the ol' smoke. Not bad when they have a bit of body kit on and imagine they are fun with a bit of poke the Abarths will have, otherwise i wouldn't even take a lift in one

Think I see more Astons than I do abarths!
-
I like these little bad boys too... :happy2:
-
Look brilliant IMO and pretty rare. Was on my list when I was looking 18 months ago but just too small. I needed the extra space of the Golf :happy2:
-
I think there awesome little cars!!!!!!!
-
My brother bought one which his wife now uses as her daily - Its the Essesse version and a pretty cool little car. Not sure I would want one myself - not cheap if I remember correctly.
Think its done less that 10k miles in 3years!
-
:happy2: really like these myself, also supposed to be one of the least depreciating cars currently on the market.
-
The Fiat 500 is a dressed up Ford KA, which is a very good car. I think the Abarth looks great.
-
I like the arbaths esp in white but wouldnt have one personally as think they are a bit of a birds motor. They are quite common down here and theres normally a meet of at least a dozen at the Lakeside MAccy D's every few weeks :signLOL:
But I have just stumbled across this whilst googling them and kinda changed my mind (dread to think the price):

sorry i'd been taken a bit off topic and actually meant BS Fiat 500s. Arbarths aren't like crap in a farmer's field. I guess the comparison would be golfs to golf GTIs :happy2:

Thought that's what you meant, yeah there's loads of those pesky fiat 500's up here too :signLOL:

Every other housewife where I live has one (the other housewives all drive range rovers it seems), great looking little car especially that Abarth or Essese version, although like the Mini Cooper it really is a birds car!.
Tell her she can get herself one when she passes her test :signLOL:

Not actually that far from the truth :signLOL: :signLOL:

There's a Maserati version, as well as the Ferrari jobbie, but I think the 595 Competizione is the best looking one so far.
-
I really like them. I almost bought an Essesse one, my Mrs wouldn't have it tho!
Not sure how long I would have kept it, mind.
