Title: Blueflame backbox installation
Post by: Sug on May 05, 2012, 06:15:52 pm
Just bought a Blueflame backbox (suitcase delete) and didn't realise that you have to cut my standard eddy one to change it thought it was a direct replacement  :stupid:. Is this possible to do yourself as in jack it up, cut it (hacksaw) then slide new one on or should I just take it somewhere to get it done properly?

Take it to a professional company with end forming equipment, as the Ed30 pipe dia is different to the GTi.
If you're local to the North West - we can do it for you.

The suitcase deletes that we sell are enformed in our unit to fit over the size of the standard system.
If you are experiencing any problems with fitting this system then give us a call and request to speak with Chris who designed both our MK5 Golf GTI TBE system and this style of suitcase delete.

We have not heard of any problems concerning this product but would be more than happy to assist in whatever way we can  :happy2:

Both our TBE and Suitcase Delete Systems are a larger than standard diameter. However, our TBE system is a larger diameter than our Suitcase Delete.

Will this fit an 05 gt tdi 140? If so, will it make much difference to noise etc?

Should give it a deeper noise. I assume they can do one for you car. They have a system foe the Bora diesel. Best bet is to give them a ring - 01695733100.

Mention the group buy they are doing for some Golf owners and they'll sort you out  :happy2:

PM me for details

We don't have a system for the GT TDI's but we are hoping to find someone to bring there's in.
Generally speaking, diesel exhausts do tend to be quieter than petrol exhaust systems, we can build an exhaust to the sound level you would like in our shop no problem, so if you live local to us in the North West then we will do you a good deal on any sort of system for your TDI  :happy2:
