So, I was driving home from Norfolk to Hertfordshire tonight when out ran a small Deer in front of me!
Without the risk of swerving and ending with a major disaster, I ploughed straight into the the totally oblivious animal not noticing my beaming headlights, horn and scared sh*tl*ss drivers face over the steering wheel!!
Needless to say my car came off pretty bad with a cracked bumper, missing fog light and bottom section of bumper and splitter swaying freely :sad1:
I'm gutted obviously but the only thing keeping me from crying like a baby is that I was considering a full frontal respray to freshen up the ever increasing stone chips, seems this will be done now!
Anyways, can anyone recommend a decent independent in the Hemel Hempstead area as I want to ensure a top finish?

Gutted for you mate, hope u get it fixed up soon I live in Norfolk myself and there are loads of Deer around, never managed to hit one yet tho, although hundreds of Rabbits/grouse/Pheasant/Wood Pigeons have met their maker in my various cars over the last 15 years, its pretty much guaranteed that I manage to kill something (accidentally) at least once a week :surprised:
This is what was waiting for me in the garden last night when I got home at about 1.30am (Mr & Mrs Bambi) I Took pics using Iphone through the window, not great quality, had to chase em both out and close the gates as they were happily chomping on the flowers :fighting:
I believe they are Monk Jack deer and are quite common round here, have seen them before wandering along the beach path and behind the house but not in my garden before!

^^ I'm afraid i'd have done less chasing and a bit more of grabbing a shovel and looking forward to a venison roast tomorrow...

If you've got a friend who's a butcher, fresh (and it must be fresh!) Monk Jack roadkill is delicious

Thanks for the recipe ideas guys but unfortunately I wasn't looking for an independent butcher :signLOL:
Anyone with any recommendations on an Indy body shop in Hemel area?
Damage does not look as bad in the daylight but definately a new bumper and fog light!

*That 'hottie' you pulled last night might turn out to be a real 'moose' in the cold light of day!
