Title: RNS510 + MFSW

I have the new RNS510 H or F.

Anyway, all works fine and is a fantastic head unit. My volume come etc. all works fine, how when in audio (on the highline) the up and down buttons will not change the tracks. They work in the menus (scrolling) but I will not scroll tracks, radio stations etc.

I have have had it on VCDS and tried it with 'Short press' on and off, bt still nothing.

Can anyone advise?

Mine was doing that last week an then seemed to sort itself out on it's own.

Do you restart the unit after coding?

Have you done a soft reset of the RNS after altering the coding?

Sometimes changes won't work until you have.

Hmm ive got an RNS with issues what is a soft reset please????

The Ctrl-Alt-Del keys aka <,> and i buttons - press and hold.

Press <,> + I (or whatever your top right button is could be a microphone symbol) for about 15 secs and the unit will reboot.

Just done the reset - and still the same. Scolling menus but will NOT scroll tracks/radio stations etc.

Try coding again with VCDS and then reboot. See if that works. Even if you don't change the coding, just open the controller, or perhaps change one of the bits, do the coding, then change it back, then reboot. Clutching at straws, but might work.
