Title: Help!
Post by: da_ansa on May 08, 2012, 12:55:36 pm
My engine light came on yesterday  :surprised:

There are no other symptoms, the car seems to be running as it should no weird noises or jolts etc.. my mechanic is due to run a diagnostic later.
Just fearing the worst i havent had the golf very long

Mine came on and car was running fine still. Turns out all it  was a broken clip that holds the connector into the MAF sensor . Worth a check  :happy2:

wouldn't streess too much - if everything is running fine and its not in limp mode  :happy2: probably a o2 sensor in the decat or like mentioned the MAF.

Just come back from the diagnostic. the results are boost pressure regulation and intake manifold flap. I have the codes
what's the best way to repair these issues? since the faults have been cleared they light hasn't appeared

Boost pressure is usually the diverter valve. run a sear on that mate and itll return loads

noot sure about the flap.. could be from where its dirty you could give it a clean

as above check the diverter valve and if the the manifold intake problem returns try running a Adaptation with VCDS  :happy2:

did both faults show as being recent when diagnosed?
