My engine light came on yesterday :surprised:
There are no other symptoms, the car seems to be running as it should no weird noises or jolts etc.. my mechanic is due to run a diagnostic later.
Just fearing the worst i havent had the golf very long

hard to suggest anything if nothing feels wrong!

Mine came on and car was running fine still. Turns out all it was a broken clip that holds the connector into the MAF sensor . Worth a check :happy2:

wouldn't streess too much - if everything is running fine and its not in limp mode :happy2: probably a o2 sensor in the decat or like mentioned the MAF.

Any update on this?

Just come back from the diagnostic. the results are boost pressure regulation and intake manifold flap. I have the codes
what's the best way to repair these issues? since the faults have been cleared they light hasn't appeared
-
Boost pressure is usually the diverter valve. run a sear on that mate and itll return loads
noot sure about the flap.. could be from where its dirty you could give it a clean

cheers and sorry to sound like such a noob but what is a sear? and what symptoms should I of noticed on my car with these faults? still seems fine to me :s

Meant to say search sorry dude, check my build thread theres a link to some fault finding symptoms and fixes for the pcv valve and diverter valve :happy2:
-
as above check the diverter valve and if the the manifold intake problem returns try running a Adaptation with VCDS :happy2:
did both faults show as being recent when diagnosed?
