Title: Knocking / Diesel sound on tick over.

Hi,

Ive recently purchased an 06 GTI. I noticed that once the engine had warmed up there is a knocking diesel like sound. It sounded like it was coming from the timing belt side. My local mechanic had a look and said the timing belt is new and the tensioners look new. Is there anything else i can look into to get a smoother idle or as ive seen on numerous posts that its just the FSI style?

Supposedly it's the injectors that's noisy mine are the same

They all.do it mate.mechanical fuel pump and high pressure injectors.
