What would i change the GTi to? ED30 or R32 something entirely different?
What are peoples thoughts?

It may help, I'm very impulsive. (having 9 cars in 3 years!)
Don't get me wrong the GTI is lovely and it's a beautiful looking car but
1. The fuel isn't great, and not sure I can live with it long term.
2. The seats are not that comfy for larger guys (I'm 6'6 and 22 stone) especially on long journeys.
3. Insurance is a killer!

I get mid 30s MPG , surely thats not so bad? Try running an Evo , I had one when SUL was about 90p a litre , and I was spending £20 every 3 days just running about town. Theres not much you can do about the second point , unless you try a different seat in the car , Recaro etc? And as for insurance , have you shopped around? look at the Insurance section on here to see where people are getting the best deals at the moment.
