What you want to use is this stuff:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-Temperature-Car-Bike-Brake-Caliper-Paint-Kit-Green-/261001025838?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc4df992e#ht_629wt_1163 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-Temperature-Car-Bike-Brake-Caliper-Paint-Kit-Green-/261001025838?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc4df992e#ht_629wt_1163)

Used the Halfords stuff once, never again. Just used the above stuff on the wife's cars calipers and it works a treat. Nice and glossy after too, and the best part, easy to apply.

Hammerite direct to rust gets a fantastic write up across the forums, do a google search. Reports say it lasts very well even under prolonged high temp use and gives a good gloss finish.
That's what I'm going to use anyway  :driver:

Did mine on the weekend and used the Hammerite explained by martziniuk. Think it was around tender price and it has given a lovely glossy look and spoke to a kid working there and he said he did his a couple of years ago with it and he said it has lasted!

So fingers crossed mine will aslo :signLOL:

I'll get a picture up now

Can ask, what product did you use the clean the calipers up? as you must be carefull not to get a de-greaser into the piston etc?

Used halfords own caliper paint and it's been fine.... Good clean with a brush and brake cleaner did it for me... Then keyed the surfaced and painted on
