Anybody got any info on these?
Was having a conversation when at apr and was assured it wasn't needed but I can't help think it might speed me up a little.
So what are your guys thoughts? I don't want to get in to a x software is better than y just feedback on what the product does, were are the improvements and was it worth the costs.
My car is used for fast road and drag racing so knocking off even a few tenths would make me happy

id do a search because this has been discussed loads

To be fair, with DSG remaps there is only so much they can do, clamp pressure, torque limiter removal/increase, increase rpm limiter, speed up gear changes etc, there are several companies who do it, R-tech, Giac, Apr, Revo etc.
I am getting mine done soon (just waiting for a reply) as my Tuner told me that the DSG map would help them to optimise my stage 2 map (More power/torque :happy2:) and quicker gear shifts

I know I'm not going to get crazy gains from it but every little counts and I want to optimise what I already have

Thats the same reason I want the DSG map done, currently my DSG is holding back both torque and power and would like it adjusted to fit with the stage 2 remap.
Had a look round myself and R tech seems like a good option (to me anyway) so have dropped them an email to get costs and get booked in :happy2:

This video really shows the DSG mapping well

Its does... but by the time there are at 100MPH there nothing in them.

Anyone timed the 0-100mph??

Think the main benefit would be increased torque limiters so your re-map is not restricted, think the times might be a little further apart then.

Does the removal of the torque limiter apply to revo dsg maps

Yes.

They all do pretty much the same albeit differently, R-tech, Giac, Revo etc.
Prices start from £200 and go up to £358 for custom or stage 2 DSG maps (No prizes for guessing who charges the most )

I am going to plum for revo, still with revo stage 2+ there has to be merit in having their dsg map

I dont think it makes much difference who it with :happy2:

The most important gain you will get is changing the shift point and removal of torque limiter.

I know that Revo don't have a DSG map for me. Apparently they dont have a map for any car after a particular 2008 age? What year is your Eddy?
-
my car made the same torque figure before and after the DSG map with revo. It only made a difference to the torque limiter when used in conjunction with another companies remap

It's a September 2008

Jabbasport told me that that my stage 2 Ed30 DSG made 315.6hp with std DSG box and after DSG re-map (R-Tech next week) should make nearer 325-330hp and with increased torque figures as the engine re-map was being limited (Torque) by the current stock DSG box.
Shift points 6200rpm to 7000rpm and increased torque limits from 350nm to 550nm, also added benefits of no auto upchange in manual mode so it will hold its gear until you tell it to change.
