Had my dsg service done on Thursday and not used the car since then.
Went into the garage this morning to be greeted to a smell very similiar to evostick impact adhesive i.e solvent-like. I have a full undertray so can't easily tell if I have a leak and there are no tell tale signs on the gargae floor.
So my question is, can anyone describe what dsg oil smells like?

Not sure on the smell but who knows the service intervals for DSG service?

40k miles.

TT described the smell once said it wasn't very pleasant, if you have the full tray have a look through the front vent you can see the dsg sump from there.

Thanks Rich, will have a look but I guess if it's just a small leak I may not appreciate it visually even though I can smell it.

Got your PM, Ayoub :happy2:
My leak was so small that there wasn't a significant smell. IIRC it turned out to be a leak from the 'bung'. I always keep dry brown cardboard sheets under my whole engine area so I can spot any leak immediately. That's the only one I've had in 100,000 miles :notworthy:

Smells like some power steering fluids, certainly not solvent like.
