Title: Wrapping CAI

Has anyone wrapped there intake to prevent heat soak? If so what have you used? Ideally want something red!

And has anybody got a spare head shield?

Wrapped the underside of my heat shield & CAI tubing with self adhesive heat reflective wrap from eBay

Was inexpensive to do.  it silver in colour you'll find pics on my build thread  :smiley:

Thanks mike, am I being a little optimistic finding some that's red... Currently have no heat shield so not helping either

Cant see it in my eBay history but I just searched Heat reflective wrap or adhesive heat reflective wrap, was around £15

Looks the same doesnt state self adhesive so I didnt post it  :wink:  The gold stuff is meant to be really good

It looks fit for purpose in the items details but I think its just test and adjust isn't it

 :happy2:  The self adhesive stuff is far easier to get a nice tidy finish though

I used the self adhesive refective tape below to shield the back of my OE engine cover with great results.  I also used this stuff to redesign my OE intake trumpet to direct nearly all the air from the grill into the engine cover. Since doing that I have picked up 3 mpg  :happy2:
