Title: Airbag fault reset - Help!
Post by: Been-0 on May 14, 2012, 03:28:29 am
Hi all

Unfortunatly I've recently had an accident in my Golf MK5 and both airbags have deployed. I need help with resetting my airbag light, the issue is the car is still currently under repairs, but has had a new dashboard, steering wheel and seat belts.

The car is on my drive-away and was wondering if any was local to me and could reset this for me. I've read that I may need a new airbag modual & sensor and also read that it can be reset with a proper vagcom... Could any1 shed some light on this?

I'm located in Cheadle, Stockport, Greater Manchester. I'll be happy to pick u up from yours.

Thanks for any help...

If the airbags have deployed then the approved method is to replace the crash sensor as it cannot be reset with the diagnostic tool such as VAS or VCDS.  There are however people that offer the service.

Eg.
