I've not updated my firmware/maps since March last year.
How can I check what firmware/maps I have and how can I get the updates if needed.
I know I have the modded speed camera map, but no idea on the version! :signLOL:
-
Press and hold setup for about 30secs. If the test menu is enabled you can find your map and firmware version in there. If it's not you will need someone with VCDS to enable the menu for you.
Latest firmware will depend on what version unit you have.
Latest maps are V8
-
Excellent.
Will give that a go. I think it has been enabled. The 510 was exHedge when he swapped to the Czech Missile.
-
Think that was V7 maps Lee and 26xx firmware.
-
Excellent, that answers part 1 then :)
Firmware, I see the thread above so will look at that.
Speed Camera modded v8 maps?
-
You can't ask for them here Lee as VW are very hot on these things. I believe they are available from the dealers.
-
I thought that might be the case Ian.
I'll get down to the stealers and see what they say.
-
Wish me luck.... the 3810 firmware is currently flashing :surprised:
-
Bollocks!!
Firmware update fine but it wiped my map :(
Luckily I have my orginal disc from 2008, but it's an old map. I assume this will work in the interim until I can get a new map?

Yes will do.
Is that a V4 or V5 disc?
-
V3 :(
I'm in need of a DL DVD as well, because single layer ones that I have are too small.
-
Not cheap to buy I'm afraid.
Where are you located?
-
So my old map works (just running from DVD temporarily) with 3810 firmware.
I do like the new "route" colours with the logos that show shortest/fastest/most economical.
I never knew which was which last time.

v8 Maps are being loaded as we speak :)
Amazing how you take the full postcode for granted... I was stuck this morning when I couldn't use full postcodes.
