Taken from a Cliosport thread. Brings it a bit closer to home. He was an active member of CS, and owned a 182 Clio. Very sad news.
RIP. Brave brave chap.
It is with a very heavy heart that I post to inform you that Lee Thomas Davies a.k.a RB182CUP-FF, one of our South Wales Cliosport members, was one of the two British servicemen killed in Helmand province on Saturday 12th May.
As soon as I heard one of the servicemen killed was a Welsh Guard, I felt a knot in my stomach form and it prompted me to reply to Lee's last post in the regional forum telling him to "keep his head down and that I was looking forward to catching up with him over the summer". Unfortunately it was too late.

Lee was an absolutely fantastic guy who I first met last year after he pulled up outside my house with his girlfriend Charlotte in his RB 182 as I was on the drive cleaning mine. Since then he would always drop by when he was in the area and we had a long chat sat on my garden wall just before he deployed to Afghan in which we chewed the fat over his excitement about going over and the latest plans for his RB when he was back.
I'm sure all the SW guys who met him will attest to how much he'll be missed and I hope you all join me in wishing Charlotte, his family and friends our deepest condolences at this horrendous time.
RIP Lee. A real hero.

Another comrade has sadly died
A sunset vigil upon the sand
As a soldier leaves this foreign land

To our fallen comrade who's set to fly
The eulogy's read about their life
Sometimes with words from pals or wife

What kind of soldier they'd become
The padre then calls us all to pray

A minute's silence stood in place
