Title: All you Northerners.....

I'm going to be in Lancaster for a meeting on Thursday, then I'll need to cross over to Durham afterwards. I think it would be rude to not go through the Yorkshire Dales, so could any of you recommend any good driving routes through the Dales??

I would recommend going to skipton if your up this way. Go over to grassington it's such a beautyful drive

if you do happen to go near skipton keep a look out for a Evo X complete with orange ar$e and blue lights hiding around some tight bends  :fighting:

Personally, when I go towards home (Co. Durham) I go the M6, A66 then A67 towards Barnard Castle then Durham - more direct but much of the same roads, although probably a little less rural for some of it.

Try the back roads from leyburn to Richmond,excellent scenery ,

And once at Durham, take a 2 hour driving detour through the hartside pass  :happy2:
