How would you compare these to NGK 7's & 8's? :drinking:
-
After reading the review i think i am headed towards the NGK 8's who can support this decision?
-
we nology silver as it seemed to be the only plug that would stop my missfire + stop me eating coil packs.
NGK 8 are the cooler plug? I tried them but failed after 2 weeks of redline bashing.

Does anyone know the exact part number for the BKR8EIX suited to the 2.0 TFSI?

 Got my plug socket ready!

I'm running the NGK 8's like Mike has posted above.
Only have them in for 2 days though(300 odd miles), but no issues so far.
-
Am I the only one in thinking that he should vcds scan/log thew car for misfires as maybe, just maybe, this isn't a plug issue.
-
I'm thinking he should definitely be logging the car! After fitting a K04 and injectors and running a K03 map he'd be mad not to.
I put my K04 map on before I even started the car.
-
Nology Silver plugs gapped adjusted to the application. I have cured many misfire issues with these on high power TFSI engines.

Any chance of the Nology part number that equates to a heat range 8 NGK plug Nick

The Nology plugs are meant to be really good. Around a tenner a plug iirc.
I have the BKUR7ET plugs in mine. Teff also runs them in his 'R'.
If you are doing short trips then the 8's dont burn as well as the 7's.
-
So there's a nology 8 plug alex?

Nick you have a PM

I had one of the Ngk 8's randomly fail on my stage 2+ eddy. Causing multiple missfires, got standard Ngk's in now which I had no problems before changing to these.

Was the plug fouling and do you do lots of short journeys?

I am mostly in city driving does that mean should go for the 7 plugs?

-

Given your driving habits, I would go for the 7 plugs.

So what are the 8 plugs for motorway? lol
-
8 plugs lower the combustion temp by about 75-100C vs the 7 ones so they are ideally suited for spirited driving.
-
My driving is spirited driving to be honest even though am in the city very few of the times am i actually cruising lol
Seems the 8 is the right deal for me as i cant understand the gap about the nology plugs
