Andy - Glad to see that after all you've done on your car, that the highline still brings a smile to your face in some way

Have always been temped by these units, do they sit in behind the cluster and do they cause a rattle at all?

Mike - have been keeping a look out now and again for you but the Leon Cupra highline's seem much harder to find than the Golf ones - and even they're not easy to find at all.

Appreciate that David!  :notworthy:  Ultimately I want the facelift Leon Cupra clocks in my Cupra as they have large screen and white backlighting

They are a great little mod. I have fed the cable through so the unit sits in the cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel. Easy access updating etc. I get no rattles with it there either.

How easy is it to fit these units?

Provided you can access  and easily remove the original canbus cable then installing the new polar cable and box should be a doddle. The actual position on the canbus depends on the year of your car.

How to locate and fit was discussed in this thread http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,40494.0.html (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,40494.0.html)  :happy2:

Great unit, very useful to monitor different parameters  :happy2:

I can confirm great piece of kit and you can choose up to 4,5 or 6 parametres on one screen and there are 5 screens available. Also you can choose in which part of a screen a parametre appears. I divided mine by screen into general for driving which I have displayed all the time like oil temp, boost, actual speed, rpm etc and maintenance which would be number of misfires on each cylinder (there is a measure for each cylinder - misfire 1, misfire 2 etc), minimum oil level and actual oil level etc

Also last time I used fuel liters as opposed to regular fuel gauge - when fuel gauge is virtually zero and computer shows you 0 km you I actually had 2 liters still left as confirmed when filling up

Great piece of kit. I have it permanently in the little glove box on drivers side so it can be disconnected when needed for an update. As peeps mentioned above main canbus is in various location depending on year of the car. Mine is 2008 and it was deep behind steering wheel and above accelerator pedal. It could be reached from engine bay side once the wipers and wiper engine is removed as it's hidden behind 4 screws and a lid
