Title: Rear bumper idea
Post by: gaz b on May 19, 2009, 10:52:58 am

Hi folks, I'm looking for some opinions on an Idea I had for my bumper. I'm not too keen on colour coding the full bumper as I like the way the side skirts flow into it. So if I color coded the bumper then I would need to do the skirts and it opens a can of worms!

Has anybody seen this done on a golf before?  I know the mock up is ruff but you get the idea!

Any pics of it done would be appreciated! :happy2:

I quite like that, its a different slant than I have seen before. There is a GTI round here with it done the other way and that looks cool too!  :happy2:

Sorry mate, I think it'd work better on a blue or black car, it looks a bit strange on a bright car.

Cheers guys, I appreciate the input. Don't think I have got thie balls to be first to do it then hate it. :chicken:As tomb said, it might work better on a dark car. I did think about doing the top bit but I don't think it ties in when looking at the car side on. Just my opinion though!

Thanks again! :happy2:

mmmmmm :rolleye: i think i quite like it!!
have been thinking about my ars end lately :ashamed:
and as i have this whole red on black look going on i was thinking of trying to put a red strip similar to the one around the grill, around the lower valence on the rear bumper??
can you plasti dip it? so if you dont like it it can just be peeled off?
its a shame you cant have bumpers carbon wrapped mate!!

you can,

1. sand it down so its smooth all over (2hour job)

or

2. Primer the fcuk out of it then smooth it with wet n dry, then you can wrap it.
