Hi all,
I am sure this has been mentioned before and know it has been done. What I am interested in doing is replacing the gear gator with the same fabric as the seats! Main trouble i am having is sourcing the interlagos fabric! If anyone has any ideas or has done this then any help would be appreciated. Another idea is using the copied pattern from the mk1 gti, which can get off ebay!

I've done it but dont have any spare material or pics sorry, can get you some though if you like?!
I got it done for about at MJ Interiors in Bradford for about £40, top quality job. I got the fabric on here in the classifieds for about £25 I think. Your best bet would be a rear bench with a hole in it, make it a bit cheaper to buy and butch up :happy2:

I've got some of the mk5 gti fabric, was saving it for a custom retrim but could probably spare enough for your gear gator?

Hi both, thanks for getting back to me, sorry for late reply but been away working. So how does it look Matt. Have seen a pic of it done and looks good. Was thinking of doing it the white/grey tartan from the mk1. Will keep mj interiors in mind! lol..
Would also like to take you up on the offer Aweful_Truth is it is not too much hassel for you, would be most appreciated. Just let me know what you want for it.
