I spent this afternoon rooting around in my Dad's garage. I was looking for Autosol to do my exhaust tips. Needless to say I didn't find any. However I unearthed the following:
Waxoyl and hand pump spray gun from the late 70's or early 80's
Paint spray gun, electric
5l of VW 501.01 Quantum oil
A Webley air pistol!
I'm now considering giving my gti the waxoyl treatment...
Anyway I just thought it might be interesting to find out what sort of wacky stuff people have found in their Dad's, Grandad's, Great Grandad's garages?

I'd get my hands chopped off if I went rooting through the old mans garage :fighting:

At the moment there's a '72 911T, a '66 splitty, a '74 beach buggy and a '63 BSA - the latter split into bits covered in grease for a rainy day. God only knows what junk there is too.

I'll ruin it for you and say he's also got a Ford Crapi, but he's restoring that for someone else.

^^^^ oh yes!
Concourse 1965 Jaguar E-type S1 4.2 roadster and bits and pieces of a 1975 Maserati Khamsin (so far a 15 year project car, he is taking his time apparently) and pride of place Is my dear departed mums 1999 Peugeot 206 xsi. The pug does not get driven EVER, just gets polished and if the garage was on fire he would walk straight past the Jag and save my mums car, bless him. We also put a dart board up on the wall just above the Jag as a prank and he even dared us to throw darts at it, we all chickened out (backfired on us that one).

He has a couple of garages but only things that i know of that are of any interest to me is a 1979 Mini Van that's been in there in bits for the past 18+ years and I finally persuaded him to sell it me around 6 months ago. He also has early 1970's Bond Bug that he has had for over 22 years but plans to restore it soon :)

Nothing too whacky... but a load of my granddads joinery tools, a pot of castrol grease that must be about 30-35 years old. We used to have things like valve spring compressors and piston ring compressors from when my dad used to service his old volvo 240s, all gone now.
We had one of these too (also my grandads) and ever since i can remember i always wondered what it was for.... anyone know? ( i only found out a few years ago

Same as Saint Steve!
I stumbled across a load of 70s jazz mags when I was about 14 helped me with my "reading"
I got cocky and left a couple under my bed, came home one night to find mom had hoovered under it and filth mags gone. Nothing was ever said though. :P

Nothing much of interest in my dads garage, bar the component pieces of a 19' yacht which he thinks he'll build one day.
