Has anyone tried these tyres on their Golf??
Thery get a really good name in the bike world :happy2:
I used them on my Fireblade for a couple of seasons and could tell no difference between them and Bridgestones.
The difference in price was about half and they wore out at about the same rate. So you get about two for the price of one
Now has anyone had Maxxis tyres on their Golf or other cars??
If they have how did they find them ??
I can get 19" Maxxis tyres for about £108 from Camskill which seems good value??
Any thoughts ???

:worthless: or a link!

my eddie came with some on the front and michelin pilot exalto on the back.
they seemed ok to me and as you said, they seem to be highly rated by bikers
-
I had them on my mk 4 1.8 20v but with it being the non turbo one it didn't really need good tyres to put the power down so can't say I tested them that well I'm sure they were £70 a tyre fitted for 225 40 18 this was a couple years ago

I had 4 on my old 306 daily but all that did was motorway, not sure what they would e like if they were on a performance car

I`ve done a bit of searching round tinternet and read a few reviews, bit of a mixed bag
No real rave reviews so think I`m going to pay the extra for Vredestein Sessantas at £141 a corner

On my mk4 I always had the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3.
The best tyre I have ever had..... EVER !!! :happy2:
My dad has the car now, and is still managing to source them, even though they have been discontinued. :sad1:
My current car came with the kumho tyre, which was awful. They were brand new and lasted 10 months !!
So I got these, as I thought the cars 4x4 was chewing them up.
They have been on over 18 months and still have plenty of tread. The only thing is I have notcied they are a little noisy on smooth tarmac...

Price was super cheap, they brake well and beat the top brands in the wet on Autocar or Whatcar's BIG TEST for aqua plaining !!! Think they gave it a 10/10 !!!
