Noticed this last week that when stationary and you turn the wheel left or right i get a grinding noise.
Just wondering if anoyone else has had similar and knows a possible cause.
Thinking it may be the steering rack on the way out or it just needs a bit of lubricating.
Got her booked in for a service this week, but now it looks like it could be a very expensive day in the garage! :sad1:

Mine does this too. Think it's just a "feature" of some cars
-
Mine does first thing when car is cold then is quiet when warm
-
But mines just started last week.
noticed it again when reverse parking just a few minutes ago.
Don't really like the noise and need it gone!
Will update once i've been to the garage and they've had a good looky :happy2:

Noticed mine doing the same today and only just started doing it too, my mk4 did the same. I was wondering if this spell of hot weathers dried something out maybe

what did they do with the top mount?
I would asume they changed/replaced it!

I've noticed this grinding noise when ever I turn right, but at a slow pace like parking etc... Will be off to Autohaus to get it checked!
