So I bidded and won a couple of genuine VW rear door speaker for my 05 plate TDi.
Fantastic, I thought the sound was a bit tinny, these will deff do something to help, anyway they arrived yesterday and I finally got round to fitting today,
I got the door panel off ok, took the foam blanking disk out and.......nothing.
There is no wiring for the speaker in the door. Unless they are so tucked away my arms couldnt reach.
Can anyone tell me what is involved in getting the wiring connecters and fitting them? is it worth it for the oem speakers?
Also, I have been looking at the ebay fog lights, but since the speaker drama i wonder if the fog lights wiring will be there as well? anyone help?
All replies greatfully received

I'll bet you that there isn't any wiring as it's part of VW cost saving drive.
The same occured when VW dropped the standard anti-dazzle passenger mirror on GTIs, the required wiring harness to retro fit the mirror disappeared.

Cost saving? Bugger!
do you think that will be the same for the fog lights?
My car is only an S so I expect it will be, the grand ideas of
Upgrading various parts is looking more unreal!

Not anymore but back in the day you did.
Remember adding rear speakers to the mk1 shelf supports, wiring all ready to go :happy2:
