Hi All,
Had this come on after a 60 miles trip. Had the local garage plug it in and bought up: P0642 – Knock Control Defect
They didn’t seem to know what it was exactly so reset it and suggested I’d see if it comes back.
I’ve done a search and couldn’t find the same description for this code here. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what it might be?

Rosstech doesnt list that code as a knock sensor

Suggest a scan with vcds or dealer scan?

Oh!!
Is there someone local to West Sussex/ Gatwick area with this facility?

anyone? it's not come back since reset but worried if it's something on it's way out that I'd prefer to be prepared.
What is the usual/ common fault under this code and whats the work which needs to be done to rectify?
