I am pretty sure this is malware. I received this email, allegedly from "us @ fedex.com" and "FedEx Customer Service" but I am not expecting any parcels from them. The email reads:

Our company’s courier couldn’t deliver your parcel.
Reason deny:The weight of parcel is exceed the available parameters for free delivery.

LOCATION: Dallas
STATUS OF YOUR PARCEL: sorting
SERVICE: Expedited Shipping
NUMBER OF YOUR ITEM:U377695046NU
FEATURES: Yes

The label of your parcel is enclosed to the letter.
You should print the label and show it in the nearest post office to get a parcel.

Information in brief:
If the parcel isn’t received within 30 working days our company will have the right to claim compensation from you for it's keeping in the amount of $7.89 for each day of keeping over limited time.

You can find the information about the procedure and conditions of parcels keeping in the nearest office.

A zip file is attached and of course I have not opened it. Note that the English is bad and not even American English. I have entered the item # on a FedEx site (not via any link) and it's not registered. I reckon it's a clever scam to get you to open the zip attachment.

Has anyone else had such an email?

I had the exact same email robin yesterday and as you didn't open it as looked a bit suss! :happy2:

Yes sorry guys it's malware whatever you do don't open the zip file. This has been knocking around for a year or so now - just google *fedex malware* I think the cure can be found online too in case anyone gets affected.
