hi there im looking to retro fit fogs when i get my new bumper was wondering if anyone else has ever done this and how? just to add, im quite sure i have a low line cecm as my screen tells me nothing apart from mileage surprisingly! and i am also willing to pay to have this done if anyone knows how!

I am sure fog lights are the dealer accessories price list as something they ca retrofit but don't know of anyone that has had them fitted TBH.

just an update, i spoke to my local vw dealer and they said £60 per lamp plus £88 per hour labour + VAT!
come on someone here has to have been in the same boat as me a special edition golf with no dam fogs!

....Which "special edition" is that? All the GTI and Edition 30 and Pirelli Mk5 Golfs have fogs.
I replaced mine for LED DRL's.

lol ok not quite as special as gti or ed30 but a 1.9 special edition tdi!

I have a friend of the family with a 55 plate 2.0Tdi 4-Motion who would like to retro fit fog-lights into the front bumper. He's been quoted £300 to get this done at Volkswagen.
Can I do it for him cheaper? If so, what do I need exactly besides the fogs & grilles?

I have done it for this guy

he bought the loom, lights and I fitted them
depending on what CECM you have, you may need to replace that too.
a new light switch and a wire needs to be fitted

Was it a 1.9TDi SE? But surely any speical edition would come with a better cluster than just mileage? :fighting2:
