Hi All,
I am looking at either the Bose Soundock 10, or the Zeppelin Air. I've done a lot of research online reading various reviews and just thought I'd ask you guys and girls if you have any comments, thoughts or even better experiences??
I've listened to both in John Lewis, I thought the Zeppelin had slightly better clarity but it's very difficult to truely listen to them in detail in that type of enviroment with lots of background noise and people walking past.
For some reason I keep being drawn towards the Bose.
Help me out please, all comments welcome.................
Cheers,
Lee

I have had a B&W zeppelin for a few years now and the quality of the sound still amazes me to this day. :happy2: I have not heard any other ipod players so cant give you a comparison but you cant go wrong with the Zeppelin.

Zeppelin for me too. Bose just doesnt cut it for me. I've got a dock linked to my monitor Audio rs6's via a denon avr. Sounds great. Also have an SVS sub. What a monster that is!

Have the Bose Sounddock and really do rate it, but for £500 (think thats what we paid) its expensive and we use our Bose Wave System with separate IPod Wave Connect Kit, MUCH better sound. No idea about the Zeppelin but really is gadget eye candy. Looks a lot better than all the others.
:happy2:

I'd go for the Loewe Air Speaker if you can stretch the budget a bit.

^^^^ Gadget eye candy AND a quality product!!
Looked at these in our local specialised place, £750 isn't it
:happy2:

We have one in the studio and I think it cost about £520 +VAT. It's lovely though and much less imposing than a Zeppelin.

Really happy with my Monster, Beatbox. Have a play with one!
HMV & currys do them :happy2:

There's also the Bang & Olufsen Beolit 12 to consider. Haven't read any reviews but I imagine it's very good. Bit more quirky than the Leppelin.

Zeppelin Air is Airplay enabled, that would clinch it for me! Airplay lets you stream music from itunes on computer, ipod touch, ipad, iphone etc
I use it at home through airport express and apple TV.

As is the Loewe Air Speaker and the B&O Beolit 12.

This. Maybe, I haven't listened to the others except the Bose, which I thought was toss - trading on a name.

We've got the R2i at home, though ours is from when they were branded Vita Audio. Awesome sound but you have to have an Airport Express plugged in for AirPlay (and a DAC).
-
Zeppelin air all the way I love mine especially because of a air play!
Sent from my iPhone

The thing about the Zeppelin Air for me, is that the dock connector is still really prominent and it looks unsightly with nothing sitting on it, which lets face it, with AirPlay will be much of the time.

Thanks for comments, thoughts and your own experiences.
It seems the Zeppelin Air is by far the most favoured, and almost all comments which refer to it are positive, For me I think the Zeppelin looks more pleasing on the eye, although that said it the Soundock 10 kind of has a pressence about it. After reading all the review's and comments it seems a 'love hate' thing with Bose.
I'm still no clearer on which one I should go for!

Zeppelin for me too , had it for a couple of years. Get it from Dixons at the airport and pick it up on your way home. Cheapest place to get one , but then you have to leave the uk to get one !

I have heard most of the others... but for me the zepplin stands out simply because of sound quality :innocent:
