Can anybody tell me wether the ignition coils euro car parts sell are the most up to date revision or would i be better going to volkswagon directly.

You could check the version that's marked on the outside of the box before buying.
fwiw the latest version is F so the part number on the box should be 07K998715F

i just asked via their online chat because with a discount code i have from another forum i'd be paying less than £25 for a coil pack brand new. here was the answer i got:

Part number 4434400460 is OE quality ( Original Equivalent, without manufacturers logo on it) and the other one 4434400461 is a aftermarket quality (mass produced item made using cheaper alternative). Both the parts will fit your vehicle, its just a different manufacturer

I have a couple of Beru coil packs that I got from ECP and they are fine. I could be wrong but I think Beru make the VAG OEM.
