Title: Standard Exhaust

Guys.

The standard Exhaust on a 05 GTI, are the tips Chrome or just standard silver?.

 Mine are very rusted and Brown. Havent got the pennies for a new system, But can you get some tips to cover the orginal exhaust tips?

Should be chrome finish mate. Just get some very very fine wire wool & a tube of metal polish. :happy2:

Yes they are chrome. Can't understand previous owners who leave the exhaust to go poo brown :fighting:

Cheers guys, yeah previous owner, didnt do much in way of cleaning.

Will have a crack next week when im off work :)

...........oven cleaner sprayed on & then left is also a good way to start. Even when clean they still need a regular wipe with metal polish to keep looking good. :smiley:

I used oven pride, the one with the bag on my old oven, OMG was amazing!! god knows how dangerous that stuff must be to health!!!  :confused:
