Title: Airbag Advice..

Hey all getting the dreaded airbag light on with the 01217 code. Now the stealers fixed this a year or so ago by doing the bypass switch/soldering wires job, bthe light is now back on... its been on ages but strangely last month it went off... then came back on and now wont go. Ive had the seat out and re done the cables again also removed battery to clear it but still comes on :(. I only have that its the 01217 - Side Airbag Igniter; Driver Side, no more info as the unit scanning was playing up. Any ideas of any other cables/clips on the drivers side other than under the seats that i could look at?

Have a look at the wiring that is inside the rubber bellows connecting the drivers door to the A pillar, i traced a side airbag fault on my brother in laws Octavia Vrs that was down to a broken wire within the bellows, probably caused by the repeated opening/closing of the door, worth a look?  :smiley:
