Title: can bus effect engine performance?

Just wondering if a incorrectly programmed can bus gate way could effect engine performance? Im thinking. That it can't, any thoughts?

I'm no expert but IIRC the CAN Gateway is more to do with the various electronic systems on the car (ie electric windows etc). I don't think you could change something on VCDS and upset the running of your car.

I expect an expert will be along soon to correct me  :grin:

No although you can immobilise the car if certain things are messed with in the CanBus :confused:
