Title: Monza 17s
Post by: snakey73 on June 10, 2012, 12:43:20 pm
Hi Folks

I'm new to this forum, and have just bought a 56 plate GTi Turbo after having had a couple of Mk4 diesels.
The GTI has a badly beat up set of Monza Shadows with curb and water damage (the dreaded white worm has struck).

Im looking for a set of 17" Monzas as back ups for the winter and also so I can get the Monza Shadows refurbed.
Also, would anyone be able to tell me what a fair price to pay for these would be ?

Thanks

Al

A Warm Welcome to the forum, Al  :drinking:

I think you need more than 25 posts to advertise in either the For Sale or Wanted areas of the forum or even to access them. The rules are designed to stop scammers and those who would solely use the forum community to sell without being known first.

Depending where you are, people can recommend where to refurb. A1 in Wolverhampton have a proven good record here.

Don't use Random Chat area to increase your post count as they don't count. Perhaps start off in the New Member Introductions and with pics of your car and folks will chat to you and before you know what you'll have 25 posts and everyone will be helping you mod your car and spend your money!

Welcome Al

For 17" Monza's you will be looking between £250-£350, it depends on condition and with tyres.
I paid for my genuine 17" Monza's £225 with tyres, condition was pretty poor, but £130 professional refurb made them look like brand new.
Keep checking on ebay and in sale section.

Youre probably better getting some unrefurbished ones and getting them done yourself , at least then you know who has done the work , and you will have their word on wether any are buckled or damaged in some way! Have a look on ebay just now until you can post on the for sale or wanted sections! Ive just had mine done through my dealer and for £180 quid inc VAT It looks like I have 4 brand new wheels (Plus new centrecaps at £6 a pop!) Welcome to the forum btw , and good luck with the GTI!

Ive got  a set of fairly decent 17's with good tyres which i am just about to swap for BBS Lm rep so may consider selling if i don't keep for winter wheels. I would accept a event offer.
