My god, that dump tube out the bottom is f*ckin madness.. This engine really is going to become a bit of a classic when it comes to tuning..

That picture makes it look a lot closer than it is in reality, shouldn't really be any closer than the standard turbo, and with such a large turbo and tubular manifold I would expect the EGT's to be lower than on the K04, could be wrong though..

I think I would be heat shielding parts off though just to be safe..

ha i was actually gonna ask you on your own thread if you were gonna do a screamer pipe on your GT30 conversion.

Cos that would scare a LOT of people.

I'm thinking you could run it without a dump valve too...make some proper noises then!

Yeah for sure, who in the right mind would have an external wastegate and not dump it haha..

The GT30 is a hell of a loud louder than the K04 turbo anyways so it would sound pretty sweet!!

I love the sound of tuned turbo cars, so awesome!

i think driving it day to day the screamer pipe would probably do most people's head in.

if it was a weekend / track day special then yeah defo should be done.

but most will have the WG pipe rerouted into the downpipe area.

something like this (1.8T fitment this)

Oh my god.. That is amazing!!

good to see the "sensible" approach to modding is upheld by the yanks.

Big turbo, massive power.......................

STOCK BLOODY BRAKES!!!!

nutters.

yeah similar, altho Hooch had major problems with the fab work on his manifold. poor guy. spent loads and got cack.

This one is ceramic coated and done thru Bill @ Badger5. He's finally putting a GT35 into his Ibiza now, with an 8 injector set up  :signLOL:

Haha, awesome!! I do fancy having a GT35R or a GT3076R and go for something a little more laggy but run really big power top end.. Just need to think about what the car is going to be used for really..
