Title: Car feels sluggish after new crank sensor
Post by: Dan.b on June 11, 2012, 07:03:31 pm
Evening all,

Following on from this thread http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,48712.0.html I have had the crank sensor change.

Fault code was cleared and engine started perfectly. Upon driving home I noticed the car doesn't feel as urgent as if the turbo is barely there. It couldnt even break traction in 1st or 2nd but will rev to the red line.

The 4000rpm power cut issues has gone but now I've got no grunt.

What do you guys think it could be? Does it take a couple of trips to adapt?

Any comments/thoughts would be a great help!

What was it? Might be helpful to other owners if they use search one day?

The original fault with intermittent power loss at 4000rpm with engine and EPC light coming on was the crank sensor.

The fault I had after fitting was a plug on a boost hose  that was forgotten  :signLOL: plugged in and it's all good!
