Hi,
I've always been a little annoyed by creaking in cars and recently my ED30 has started making a horrible creak in the passenger side....dash? It sounds like it could either be behind the air vent or where the dash meets the door but its definitely got progressively worse over the past few weeks! Anyone else experienced this? Is there some bolts I need to tighten up or something?
Also getting weird creaking in the seat belt tensioner behind my head but its a lot quieter and only I can hear it! so not quite as serious for now ;)

My passenger air vent has just started to creak!
It just pulls out and I am looking at putting some felt tape or something similar around it and then slide back in to hopefuly cure the problem.
Centre dash on top has also started to creak, think I have seen I fix somewhere for that.

If it sounds like a loose screw or bolt, etc, try pulling off the side plastic cover where the fuses are, make sure all the bolts r tight, that was a tip somebody highlighted on here, and low and behold, THAT rattle stopped! I have an early Mk V Gti, so maybe an Ed 30 has a different layout!?

Mine was creaking quite a bit but ordered the part from VW and replaced it seems fine now...lengths we go to to stop little creaks! :) I'll take a proper look this weekend, planning on giving it a proper detail and TLC this weekend :happy2:
