Just been offered a deal on the new BMW M135i, Auto, Estoril Blue Metallic, sun roof etc, pretty much fully loaded.
The deal: my car (owned from new) 2010 335i M Sport Coupe, 30,000 miles (same spec) Plus £10,000.
I had planned to keep the 3 series untill the new Audi S3 was out but no one can say when that is.
So, hang on for the S3??

I'd be willing to guess the M135i will be much better than the S3.

Why not white  :signLOL:

Seems to be a lot of car plus cash for effectively something very similar.
No deal for me.
Not to mention its god awful. My tupence worth...

S3 is likely to be announced late in the year and go on sale early 2013. Lightly disguised production models have been seen hammering the 'Ring for a few months now
In terms of which will be better, we won't know until the S3 is released. But the A3 reviews have been very good, and considering it has the same valve tech as the A4/A5 2.0Ts that means that it should be VERY tunable. (The EA888 engine with trick valves in it's current form gives +95bhp at stage one - that means all things being equal a stage one S3 would be just shy of 400bhp)

Drive it, see what you think?
Word is they've been lapping the Ring at M3 pace, so the chassis is clearly well sorted. It also has a proper locking diff, albeit electronically controlled, F1 style - rather than the old method of using the brakes to mimic one. Proper brakes all round, lovely interior, really good base spec with leather and xenons (you'd only really add 'nav), no run flats .... It's just that front end.
I'm going looking at one very soon.
If the S3 turns out well, then if the deal you've done is good enough (as I'm sure you can improve on 10k), it might not stand you to much to change?

Why not white  :signLOL:
White BMW's, Sooo last season :signLOL:
Amazingly White is the only colour they don't charge for!

I must say I don't dislike the new 1 series as much as the old one, still not a great looker though.
The 3.0 Ltr Straight 6 is peach of an engine and probably the only reason I'd stay with a beamer. Parking it up for a month each year when there's a snow flake on the road has me thinking about the S3 though

We're you not interested in the BMW Winter Tyre Programme?

I used mine all winter on the snow-rubber, it was fine and dandy.
Europeans seem to manage ok :happy2:
