Title: Nikon 3000D any good?

Comments as thinking of buying as a step up from a basic point and shoot.

A bit of an old camera - it's from 2009 and has since been superseded by the D3100 and D3200.

For £100 more, you could get the D3100 which is a bit more up to date. Alternatively, consider a second-hand camera. You're more likely to get a newer one with more stuff.
