Thats klass chum, didnt know there was an F1 Type.
Seen my m8s mk6 GTI and that was one of the first things i said i wanted...
-
Haha!I think the seller went a little over the top with the wording as DSG paddle shift wheel would have been enough,I do know that there is a 'R' Mk6 steering wheel on ebay and that start's the bidding at £430! :surprised:
-
thats a good price with the airbag TBH and red stitch with dsg is rarer.. infact if you sell ... I'll have it!
-
Well you can say, You have the F1 type mk6 steering wheel :signLOL: Its maybe one of a kind...
It very nice myfriend... 100% top cosmetic mod for the MK5
-
Thank's guy's,so much to do and so little time to do it!I've got this steering wheel to fit, sach's clutch,R32 rear with a Milltek R32 style cat back,MK6 boot handle, the list goe's on and on,I love this place!
-
Looks like you've paid a fair price for an amazing wheel! The quality of it looks superb. :happy2:
-
Looks very nice that.
But I read somewhere that with MK6's having a 2 stage air bag ( whatever that means) and MK5's having a 1 stage that there was a compatability issue meaning the bag would not deploy in an accident.
Anyone know if thats the case?

Bargain.
Price of these has flown up over the last few months.
You may need the MK6 control module to get it all to work though

Thank's for the advice mate,my VW man has said he'll get it all working and it won't be a problem,my Edition30 wheel is a MFSW one as well which make's it a little easier, also the seller did provide the correct airbag loom as well!
-
very jealous!
99% sure you will need the latest control module in order for the buttons to work correctly on the steering wheel.
-
You will need a CH controller to get it to work.
standard mk5 MFSW controller won't work
If you need one send me a pm
-
Thank's again guy's. :happy2:

Yeah Dave i'll need a new cruise control stalk, seen a few knocking about on ebay for around £40,so glad I managed to grab this as it was put on ebay quite late and I made an offer of £280 which he refused and came back with £300 buy it now which was a £50 saving and I snapped it up! :grin:Can't wait to get it fitted now as it'll work well with the RNS510 too.

Get some pics up once you got it fitted gonna look great
