Title: RS3/TTRS Turbo on a 2 litre TFSI? Anyone thought about/tried this?
Post by: Shorty on June 17, 2012, 11:36:36 am
As above, was talking to my mate and we got onto this subject...

Was wondering what type of turbo is on the 5 pots and would it be suitable on a 2 litre TFSI?

Could be a different option to a hybrid etc?

Yeah it is! Could be a bit of a ball ache with the manifold. The 2.5 turbo's have the manifold on the rear housing, but obviously its made for 5 cylinders and not 4.

LOBA do a hybrid conversion on them for 500bhp and upwards so i'd imagine standard it's a 470/480bhp turbo on the 5 pots...

Does anyone know any specifications of the 2.5TFSI turbo?

It uses the KKK K16 turbo charger - same as the one in the Mk2 Focus RS.
